A lot of this era were just "bent to fit". Although a possibly more 
appropiate term would be 'twisted to fit'.  Check the old grafs by looking 
straight down from the top....if they have been twist fitted you will find 
that the top of the graf will not be paralell with the bottom right at the 
flange.
