Come see the lights!

Dear friends,

As president of the Las Vegas chapter I am implementing an aggressive
program to expand membership and revive what has largely been a dormant
chapter. It has been an uphill task but there does seem to be some
encouraging results. We are, however, far from where we should be.

One of the ways that I have been trying to build momentum by having as
many outside guests as possible for presentations. The approach seems
to have had some positive results in that it keeps the meetings fresh
and keeps non-members, (and less dedicated ones), coming back to hear
what the guest has to say and to explore new things that the locals have
not been able to offer.

At this time I would like to appeal to the list for anyone who may be
planning on a trip to Las Vegas in the foreseeable future and would be
willing to be the guest of honor at one of our meetings. The topic
would be entirely up to you but preferably technical or business
related, (we recently had Jim Coleman Sr. visit who discussed tuning so
I would like something besides that right now). Our chapter budget is
limited but we would be happy to invite our guest out for a nice dinner
somewhere in Las Vegas as a thank you.

Come and see the lights of Las Vegas and be a part of our chapter
meeting! Our meetings are quarterly early to mid month in March, June,
September, and December. We can adjust our schedule slightly to
accommodate you but we would prefer Monday evenings at 6:30.

We, (I), need you!
