Thank you all for the answer to my previous query. Piantek does, in fact, get their maple bridge material from Bolduc. I understand some bridge caps are made out of box wood. How is box wood different from maple in terms of workability? I understand it is somewhat brittle. Does it have any advantages and if so, where do you get it in a form suitable for bridge capping?
