Doing my first upright hammer replacement. Old upright. Reasonably good shape. Rebuilding action (butts, dampers, etc.), and she will likely restring & whatever in future. Among Renner, Abel, Ronson, Isaac, or who-ever-else, would anyone care to point out characteristics of these manufacturers of upright hammers? All else being equal, I will likely get Abels from Wally Brooks. I have used those for most grand jobs and have been delighted with the hammers. Thanks Terry Farrell
