---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Tom & Joe, When I've tried this technique (with a lot of success), I've noticed the = visible vibration in the wound string. I was thinking that this would lo= osen a lot of built up dust and corosion in the windings themselves. It = also seems to me that a demonstration of this technique in the customer's= presence would be a great way to point out the need for a new set of bas= s strings in a worthy instrument. I've made several marginal clunkers so= und a lot better by doing this and the customers love me for it.
