Hi Paul,
Much of it is down bearing and plate casting related. Comes
back to cost of production. The old CF's have less muting, by extending it
for about 4 notes, you will find that you can get rid of some unwanted
duplex over ring. An A comes to mind on two that I have extended the
muting. FWIW.
