This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/mixed attachment Here's the shank clamp. The 1 inch PVC pipe is shown holding the shanks in the strike position. The felt and coarse emery cloth is put on the aluminum extrusions with double backed tape. The extrusions are from a wulitzer player piano solenoid rail and are bent slightly to give better pressure on the shanks. You can sand hammers w/o clamping but since the shanks flex, the action of the short stroke carving knife is minimized.
