Yep Duncan some ole wag by the name of Pythagorus (sp?) did, he called it the 
comma...................
The two root numbers you are working with (110 & 1200) are not divisible by 
any common number other than 2, 1 being ignored :-). When the products are 
derived one is an 'even' number and one is an 'odd' number and never the 
twain shall meet. Working with sqrts doesn't change this reality
 The closest you will get is by dividing 110 by 1200 and that answer will be 
.091666666666666666666666666666667..............ain't nothin wrong with your 
computers fpu............. it just don't know what ole P'tag did! :-)
