I checked a console tonight with loose pins and offered to dope the block. I told the owner I could use Pin-Tite or CA glue, the latter probably being the most effective in this case. She pointed to her two pet birds (a cockateel and a parakeet), saying they were sensitive to fumes, so I agreed to do the job in warmer weather with the windows open (a fairly small townhouse). I was wondering just how "sensitive" birds were. I'd hate to kill them! Philip Jamison PA
