It's amazing what the 'rebuilding section' of some established factories will dish out just to make a fast buck. A few years ago I inspected a model D which was 'rebuilt' by Steinway London. It was the sort of sloppy work one would expect to come out of any local sweat shop. Sloppy gilding straight over a severely damaged plate amongst several other disasters - lovely.
