Hi, John:
    I would suggest Brite-Boy.  It has a less abrasive and more
chemicals to do the work.  It won't scratch like Brasso, which has a lot
of abrasive in it.  Very minimal rubbing necessary.  Unlike Brasso, it
doesn't have that oily residue.  I think Wright's copper or brass
cleaner would do about the same thing.   Good luck!
