Oh, oh, oh! Where were you two weeks ago?????? Look up in the archives under
"Crack fillers - old soundboards" and "Soundboard shims via Spurlock
method". There, you will find a rather exhaustive discussion of shims,
epoxy, stains, finishing, building theory, etc.
