Terry,
I would suggest you check out a Delta before you buy. I did and ended up with 
the Dewalt- it costs more but snipe is not a problem. You can catch it on sale 
with an extra set of blade and dust hood for about $350. Drawback is the noise, 
be sure to wear hearing protection. I don't know about the Makita Del suggests 
but I do like the Dewalt. Will miss seeing you in Reno!
