health insurance

But, Jay, You just don't understand! That's what socialism is all about.
Give all your money to the government and then do what they tell you to and
they will give part of it back to you.

Some that have left this country have forgotten that we have a constitution
that forbids the federal government to be responsible for anything but what
they have been assigned. (Since when has that stopped them?) Things like
education, law enforcement, gun control, environment and many others have
been reserved to the states and the people. In their wisdom, the founders
realized that states might just become overbearing , out of control etc. ,
but you could always move to another state more to your liking. However
when the federal government gets out of control, where are you going to go?
Instead of Norway I'd probably want to go to one of the several areas of the
world that people live to be 120-140 years old. Now the only things that
those areas have in common is that they are 1000 miles from the nearest
doctor or hospital. Hey! They don't have any private health care costs
either.

Now Richard bewails the fact there is no mechanism to (control alternative
care) Thank goodness for that. I assume he thinks there is a mechanism for
controlling the
(REAL) Doctors. If there is, it's in worse shape than the Lindner pianos
we've been talking about. They have basically three treatments. Cut,
poison and burn. When was the last time you heard of a Doctor testifying
against another Doctor?

When an "alternative" N. D. said that Doctors kill (not murder, just
incompetence) 300000 people a year, the medical fraternity was furious and
did their own study.
They found that it was only 150000 that were killed inadvertently, so that
proves he was a liar. I hope that makes you feel better.

How many piano tuners that you know, would you trust to tune your piano? I
mean percentage wise. I've worked with engineers in electronics, mechanics
etc. most of my life. I've found that the percentage of them that are
honest, competent and creative is damm low. Why should Doctors be any
different? You must know that 50 percent of them graduated in the bottom
half of their class.
That scares the hell out of me and I can't tell them apart.
They've had laws passed to prevent me from finding out.

By the way I wonder how many of those 150000 people killed by mistakes,
overdoses, and other screw ups got a refund on their medical insurance
premiums? Doctors can bury their mistakes, but architects can only advise
his client to plant vines.

I overheard one of our regional VP's tell someone that " I had this great
surgeon that told me (If you don't have bypass surgery, you could die
anytime). I wanted to tell him. "Don't you realize that his Mercedes
payment was due?" There are many alternative procedures that could have
been used, but they are so cheap that there is no profit in them and so they
are bad mouthed, suppressed and made illegal. The government controlled FDA
cooperates to suppress these cheaper alternate procedures. Don't get me
wrong, I know that there are a lot of questionable alternative out there.
That's where your intelligence comes in. Keep your BS separator turned on.
Check out every claim. The info is available.
You just have to check it out and make your own decision. Of course, if you
don't have any common sense, You oughta go to college. For me, I haven't
been hampered by a formal education.

When have you heard of research being done on a procedure that is cheaper
than what we are already using? Research money only goes to things that are
more profitable. I can understand that. Money talks, It just doesn't
listen to me, cause I don't have much.

Being an old Fart, I do lots of medical reading and research about things
that are controversial. I trust my gut feeling about lots of things because
I've found my gut to be more accurate than most biased research. All
research is done to try to support a preconceived conclusion or to justify a
monetary motive. Results that don't conform is rejected, suppressed or lied
about.

To those who consider me a crack pot (psycho ceramic)
please consider the term "informed dissident" as more appropriate.

Send me your medical questions. I just might have an opinion that will make
you think.

Now watch the medical fraternity accuse me of practicing medicine without a
license.

To that I say " I DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' LICENSE"

I'd have more respect for Doctors if their average life span wasn't 58
compared to the couch potato's 75 yrs.
Their argument is that they have a lot of stress. Hey, compared to police
officers and firemen, the most stress Doctors have is to decide which drug
company to invest in and how can I make my yacht payment on time.

Time to put this thread to bed.
