Chipping )was: String rollers)

The easiest paper to use for doing string rubbings is masking paper,
available from paint supply stores or hardware stores with a substantial
paint department. It comes in a roll, is about a foot wide, is thin but
strong. Very easy to get a lot of details using an ordinary pencil (string
windings, etc.)

Maybe not as demented as mylar (certainly cheaper).

Commonly called a string pattern. Most people use butcher or wrapping
paper. Mylar is best for it's demential {:)} stability.

I just love this language!
