Pat and List,
Tis a pity that MODERN Technicians, can't take the time to service Square
Grands. Yes, they are difficult and Yes, they are different, BUT, they are a
part of pianos and their evolution. Many people really love them and
wouldn't part with them, but are chagrined that there is no one to service
their prize. If most techs would take the time to, at least, learn the
proper way to tune and approach the repairs in similar manner, there would a
whole raft of Square Grand owners in a better frame of mind towards Piano
Tuners In General. Too often, as not, these owners hear nothing but NEGATIVE
comments from otherwise good techs. It really turns them off and does
nothing for OUR image.
(Flame Suit in Place!)
Regards,
Joe Garrett, RPT, (Oregon)
