Terry: One other comment. If you end up replacing the hammers check carefully the geometry and hammer weight. Those pianos tend to be over leaded and play like trucks. If the key ratio is over .55 consider using an 18mm knuckle radius (Abel makes one, available from Brooks). With the right kind of hammer tapering you should be able to pull excess lead out of the keys and get the action playing nicely. Repositioning the capstan might also be considered. David Love
