As a reader of the digest version, the biggest thing bogging me down is HTML formatted mail. Why can't people be content to send plain text to the list? Fancy fonts, colours, headings and paragraphs do not add to the information conveyed, but make reading the digest a night-mare! This also applies to the archives. Messages from a few years ago are neat, tidy and readable. Try searching through recent messages - Aaaaaahhhhh! Formatted messages also take twice as long to download, and take up twice as much space on the archive hard-drive. I vote we all use plain text - anyone else? Scott Jackson
