David, Try Clamping the key in a woodworking vise, (fast acting, with wood jaws), then use a fender puller with a vicegrip on it. You'll have to weld a compatible nut to the adjuster on the vicegrip to get it to attach to the fender puller. I use this great little "thingee" for pulling bridge pins and hitch pins, too.
