<<What is your source for buckskin for the backchecks?>> I have been using a box of the stuff I bought from Steinway years ago. It is soft, wears well, and checks very nicely without roughing the tails. (I shape tales to 1/2 of the centerpin to hammer centerline length, ala Roger Jolly's procedures. Regards, Ed Foote
