Storytone is a collector's item since I think at least two or more people on Mechanical Music Devices list might be interested. As for the value they are not that common so don't get sold every day or year. I have seen one once. It happened to be in a player piano store I worked at. It had no soundboard. The strings are amplified through magnetic pickups. There is a record player in the seat. The recorded music and piano music came out of the same speakers. So the bench is necessary for the collector. I can't remember if there were external speakers. If there is no collector interest, sell it to a night club or piano bar for $2,000 so they can run it through their house system. If it doesn't have the bench and is not a spinet, I would offer up to $500 (according to condition) if it will run through a modern amplifier. ---ric ----- Original Message ----- From: oddsandends.com <oddsandends@earthlink.net> To: <giradot@glenwood.net>; <pianotech@ptg.org>; <mfarrell12@tampabay.rr.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 8:53 PM Subject: storytone Any idea of a value for a Storytone piano by STory and Clark voiced by RCA? Know anyone interested in buying one?
