John,
    Clamp the tilter to the piano making sure the tongue of the tilter is
against the underside of the piano. Put a 2X4 under the tilter and tilt away.
It may be a tad bumpy going off of the 2X4 but it should still be very
controllable. When lifting back to vertical don't use the 2X4 but raise the
last bit in one swift motion to overcome the pianos tendency to scoot away
from you on the trucks wheels.
