Gee... I do to.. I dont know that many who like Shellac for voicing up
either. I used to use Cellulose (sp?) lacquer, and that worked well enough,
but the smell was quite nasty. Shellac does leave a colour tho. Still I like
how it wears through the years. And I like how trying to get a needle into
the treated felt later on goes. I have also used something called Sandaraka,
which is used in hardening casts for broken arms and legs. Looks a lot like
harpiks actually. I am not really sure what it is tho. But Shellac is my
first choice every time now.
