I used to use Cellulose (sp?) lacquer, and that worked well enough, but the smell was quite nasty. Shellac does leave a colour tho. Still I like how it wears through the years. And I like how trying to get a needle into the treated felt later on goes. I have also used something called Sandaraka, which is used in hardening casts for broken arms and legs. Looks a lot like harpiks actually. I am not really sure what it is tho. But Shellac is my first choice every time now. -- Richard Brekne RPT, N.P.T.F. Bergen, Norway mailto:rbrekne@broadpark.no
