Hi Gary,
The first I heard about that mixture is back  in the mid 60's when the
WurliTzer company recommended that on easing tight action centers.  I still
use it in refurbishing actions and I put it on with a brush over all the
wooden parts with bushing cloth and it also gives the wood a nice worked on
appearance.  It also works very well.

mixture of mineral oil and naptha to lubricate sluggish flanges.  What is
