Some years back, a convention class by two representatives from Kohler covered the delicate and demanding application of the silicone/naphtha mix to flange centers. Loading a pump oiler with the mix and standing a vertical action on end, vertically, as it were, they delicately and precisely hosed down anything in the remote vicinity of a flange center, proudly pointing out that the hammer and jack flanges were both efficiently treated in a single pass. If a dip tank could have been made that was easily transported and stored in the car for field service, I suspect that would have been their method of choice. The action didn't seem to mind the broad area lubrication, and they had boxes of buckskin scrap and fallboard knobs for the rest of the class to dip into. I still have some left. Ron N
