I hate to disagree with you on this, Carl, but the Arab world is not jealous
of our freedom and independence. You can't be jealous of something you don't
understand. The Muslim religion does not allow freedom like we are used to.
Their whole way of life is so totally different from ours. Just as we don't
understand their way of life, they don't understand our way of life.

I agree with Paul that the reason the Muslims don't like us is because we
have taken what is theirs. But instead of working with us to get proper
compensation, like the current Saudi government is doing, they (bin Laden,
and his followers), want us gone, out of there, period. Further more, they
don't think Israel should be there either. And since we are not leaving on
our own accord, they are trying to force us out.

As I responded to Paul in another post, if America, both the government and
business, pulls out of the Middle East, Israel will be gone, and the worl'd
dependence on oil will disappear. And the world, much less the United States,
cannot afford that.

A peaceful solution to this problem is for bin Laden to admit he is wrong,
and apologize for the attacks. And when that happens, you and I will agree on
gun control.
