Bentley, RPT Ray, List, That's interesting you do that. If I chose to float the pitch of a piano when finding the majority of the piano is sharper or flatter than the bass, I change the bass section. My reasoning: Fewer number of strings to move greater distances resulting in less work and a more stable tuning.
