The stringers I personally know who use the same technique as Priscilla take several hours longer than the stringers I know who use the technique you and I use. It seems to me, at least with my skills, that manipulating the coil off the dummy pin and onto the driven pin takes much more time. I have never been able to figure a way to save enough time to make it worthwhile.
