stability vs humidity

Hi,

Just a piece of data for those who might doubt Damppchasers effectiveness.

Heintzman 50" upright 27 months since last tuning pitch change at A4 1.92
cents flat measured at A4 damppchaser equipped, without back cover (which
would improve these figures. Unfortunately I did not think to measure the
Heintzman in the same way as the 2nd piano.

current conditions 49% humidity

Kawai 45" upright (602-M) 7 months since last tuning (29% humidity) A4 13
cents sharp measured at A4; D#3 (first note below bass break) 5 cents sharp
measured at A#4; E3 (wound string) 23 cents sharp measured at B4; G3 27
cents sharp measured at D5; Treble break--F#5 8 cents sharp measured at
F#6; G5 18 cents sharp measured at G6.

Clearly this instrument given a change of only 20% humidity exhibits great
instability. All the three string unisons were smeared out of tune.
