Ric,
I agree with your assessment of "calculated" tunings of ETDs. Never liked it
and don't do it. Although I use an ETD, I NEVER use it to "Calculate" the
tuning. The piano will tell you/me, (Aurally), what it will take, in terms
of "stretch", (God, I hate that word! I prefer "expansion".)
