This sounds like the soundboard counterpart of "we only use Bavarian spruce grown on the northwest side of the mountain from elevations between 3,000 and 5,000 feet that purple headed eagles have chosen to nest in."

And from the way I understand it, someone with the motivation and an appropriate set of skills, could make a fairly acceptable soundboard out of Douglas Fir.
