Friends, I ran into a new situation yesterday. I tuned a vertical piano for a new client, and the piano had a complete Dampp-Chaser system. When I checked the pads, they still looked like new, like they had never even been wet above the water line since the tech replaced them the last time. The tops were completely dry, although there was water in the tank, and that seemed fine. Anyone have a clue on what's going on here? I replaced the pads, and they seemed to be working okay. Regards, Clyde
