Hi, A puzzler for those who aren't busy on OT subjects. A British Chappell grand. When playing the sustain pedal gently it worked fine, but pressing hard and quickly a metallic knocking sound. I tightened the bolts for the lyre, not that. I took off the lyre and tightened the plates that the bolts go into, not that. The pedal rod also worked fine and was not hitting any metal in the linkage. It was....? Brian Answers, not on a postcard and don't enclose cornflake box tops
