Diane, I think this is of interest to all piano techs. Is there any way this
could be published on the PTG web's site? I for one would like to get this
list whith maybe a resume of the nasty effects of the most dangerous drugs
for our hearing.

Thanks,

Marcel Carey, RPT

  List, et al......

Quite awhile ago I posted a list of ototoxic drugs that I found on the
internet and several people wrote to me thanking me for the information.

Last week, while lecturing about how to take a case history, my audiology
professor showed the class the reference material she uses in her office to
look up possible problems with hearing and/or balance caused by ototoxic
drugs.

I asked her for a copy and she said yes! It is the most up to date
publication prepared for the audiology profession from the Physicians Desk
Reference, listing all drugs that could have an effect on hearing and what
their possible symptoms are. I cannot publish it here, but if anyone has a
question about a specific drug, I could look up the listed symptoms and tell
you. email me directly,

  Diane
