Hi Terry,

Most instructors, don't seem to mind tape recorders.

At the National (I know, wrong terminology), there seems to be a rule about
no video cameras. I took a camera to one, the instructor said to ask at the
office, they said if it was ok with the instructor, it was ok. Then I went
to the class, and the same instructor said no.
Don't get me wrong, he was entirely within his rights, only he could have
saved me a trip by saying no in the first place.

At the regional I have attended, the instructors didn't seem to mind.

So it depends on the instructor.

Regards,
John M. Ross
