Thanks for replying. I've got about eleven years of solid tuning behind =
me now, and I can not think of a single piano that had the character =
that the C had last Friday, and that includes a lot of D's that I've =
heard. The very shape of the piano seems so symmetrical and balanced =
from a styling point of view. With the matching oversized duet bench =
the appearance of the units gave a very massive impression. Do you =
happen to know if the scale ever had tri-chords in the bass? This one =
did not. I thought the transition from bass to tenor section fairly =
smooth.

If memory serves the "C" was discontinued
in 1913. It was indeed a great scale and it was
a mistake to stop building it. The German "C"
was never the piano as the N.Y. "C".
