What does he want to do with it? Sit back and listen to an orchestra, =
that's all.. no one in the house plays. I'll see what Mark Wisner has to =
say! Thanks!

Subject: Re: G2 Disklavier upgrade?
Yes this is very possible as i have a customer who just did it on her =
G2 wagon grand. Your best bet for the how to's and such is Mark Wisner. =
All electronics are cost prohibitive. More bells and whistles on the =
newer models so that could be a consideration. What does your customer =
want to do with it?=20

Hi Gang,=20
Tuned a Yamaha G2 today with one of those big floor model =
Disklavier's and the guy wants to get rid of the ?big ugly noisy box? =
and upgrade to a small under the keyboard box AND add orchestration, I =
guess that means a tone generator. I don't think money is an issue.=20
Is this possible?=20
NO, the only thing that you can do is upgrade the controller =
which will go piggyback on the wagon grand. You can get better =
response,=20
If you buy a newer system, the whole mechanism is better and =
quieter.=20
Cost prohibitive? Practically=20
Or should he just trade it in?=20
Better to sell the entire unit.=20
Anyone? Mark? Serial is 4871172=20
Call Mark Wisner or the people at Yamaha USA for more questions. =
Thanks!=20
