It was a genuine thrill to see Roger looking so well at the convention in Chicago. Here is the most recent update. Update Dear Family & Friends, As I told you all a couple of weeks ago, the trial drug did not do what we had hoped for. Last week the Drs in Indy sent us to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston in hopes they had something that could be tried. The Dr there said Roger had been receiving "excellent" treatment and he would not have done anything different. That is reassuring to hear in one sense and NOT in another. They had no great secrets, but did have a recommendation for another chemo treatment in preparation for another bone marrow transplant in hopes of buying more time. He said this treatment is NOT in hopes of remission, simply more time. He has sent us back to Indiana and Roger will go back into St Francis either Thursday or Friday, as far as we know and they will begin treatment again. The Houston Dr said the same as the Drs here, Roger should not be alive today. He has survived longer than anyone does in his circumstances. We feel God has kept him alive this long for a reason. We have not given up. Roger is really amazing. I only wish I could handle this half as well as he does. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He has a VERY TOUGH battle ahead of him again. The support and love of all of you and everyone else is what has kept us going. We appreciate you all more than you will ever know. Love, MJ ------ End of Forwarded Message
