The unit does come with guides and rollers, of course. High(er)
performance parts are available for most of the common saws, like the 14"
Delta, and they do make a big difference.
The better and bigger blade reduces maneuverability, but will last
a lot longer, make cleaner cuts, and will likely "live" on your saw much
more than the smaller blades.
Plain old Johnson's floor wax is great for the table of almost any
saw, planer, or jointer. With band saws, it's even more useful. You usually
want a little "feel" for the cut with band saws and jigsaws. Reducing
friction on the table gives you more control (most of the time). Although
rust is not an issue here, (where last year's 4.5" of rain evaporated
before oxidation could occur), it may be a problem for you and others. A
good light coat of wax on the table is just good standard operating
procedure. Contamination of raw wood surfaces is not a big problem, if the
wax is clean and lightly applied.
Keeping your new saw well regulated will be easy compared to
pianos. Listen to it, and heed any noisy warnings.

"Never use remaining fingers to feed stock!"

Enjoy,
Guy
