U1 Bass strings replacement/Kurta's reply

    I respectfully acknowledge all your comments, they make sense.  However
speaking from 20 years and many, many string replacements, I've yet to break
or otherwise compromise any new strings.  IMHO it is a quick and effective
way to stabilize new strings.  Mike Kurta
