Hi Phil,
Absolutely, it will be completely detuned for the front duplexes
only. The quickest and most effective way I know of, to make a piano
sound more like a cash register, is to try and tune the front
duplexes. Now DD, before you jump in with allegations pertaining to a
possible excess of Kangaroos in the top paddock, I've done the bench
testing so I don't give toss about patents which may have been
granted in 1872. If you don't believe me have a listen to the MP3

The front duplexes of this piano (no. 3 - the one we exhibit in Reno)
have been detuned. Sorry I haven't been contributing much to the list
but I still read a lot of the posts. Its been pretty hectic down here
lately.
