Marshall & Wendell Baby Grand

Marshall and Wendell, Fischer, Knabe, Chickering,
Mason and Hamlin and Haines Bros and Franklin were all
part of the American Piano conglomerate, headquartered
in Rochester NY.. Their prime competetior was Aeolian 
( Weber, Steck, Stroud etc.. ) After  a  big fire at
Aeolian in 1930, the 2 companies merged. At least
that's how I've heard it.
