I totally agree with this; we should be giving David Stanwood a special 
Lifetime Achievement Honor,
and feting him at every opportunity.  His vision, high standards of 
excellence, and tenacity in the face of fear and entrenched yet outmoded 
ideas have been truly inspiring.  In the past 10 years, his work has 
rocked the world of any piano technician or rebuilder with any 
aspirations to the "major leagues."
He has raised the bar significantly in any discussion or implementation 
of piano action craft.
I have the deepest respect for him.
