I'd second what Ed wrote about the Moore being a good "intro" HT. Check out Jason Kanter's site (www.rollingball.com) for graphical representations. Print out a few and share them with the pianist, allow him to have a hand in picking, that way he's involved in the process. For a start, I wouldn't recommend exceeding 18-19 cents from pure on any of the major thirds. (usually the F#, in the middle of the graph) The Rousseau equal beating is also a good choice, having a little more variation from key to key. I almost think of the Moore as an "inverted meantone" because of the way the graph looks, with the flat top, representing all those intervals place the same distance from pure. good luck!
