that before you started cranking on regulating adjustments?

No, I didn't.  I was just trying to free up the rubbing wippens.  The amount 
of movement in the rail was REAL small, I'd say less than 1/16 of an inch.  
I was surprised to have to adjust everything after that small of a shift.
