Nothing specific to this product, but you realize that pianos also absorb 
AND dispense humidity into the air too, but that doesn't much affect the 
room humidity levels. In a piano-sized moisture proof container, this sort 
of humidity control would work, but in open air, it can't possibly.

Look at it this way. How many buckets of water in a Dampp-Chaser does it 
take to get through the winter?
