Before I started building my first board this past spring, it had taken me over a year to make all my jigs and get my tooling together, etc. so that I was ready. This would include all the soundboard clamps, hot box, flat work table, panel clamps, plane sharpening station, etc. I have absolutely no doubt that I averaged at least 10 hours a week working on this stuff - wouldn't be all that surprised to find that it was more like an average of 15 or more hours a week during that period - and now I really need to make more efficient rib laminating clamps! You've got a good point - I'll likely be using these clunkers for quite some time.
