Thanks for the kind words of encouragement and suggestions public and private. Like I said in the original post, I am familiar with Blues..I just never worked on them inside a Steinway. This B had a nice warm tone to it..not alot of 'honk' when I played some R&R on it, but for where it is and what it's being used for(Church), it is more than adequate. my feeble attempt at anything classical sounded just fine, with jazz sounding alive and vibrant..not harsh and shrill like some 'jazz pianos' sound to me. I tuned this B to my somewhat unusual 3:1 method, and it was just tuned last week using the SAT3..well guess what..the 2 extreme octaves were stretched beyond what the machine said was good with the top octave sounding almost a quarter tone flat by the time I got to it. If I must say so myself, it was sweet. The Blues sounded good on it..Renner that is! -Phil Bondi (Fl.) phil@philbondi.com
