Vertical backcheck noise?

     Today I encountered the same type of sound...Don't know if the same 
problem....finally diagnosed my problem>>>>>Hammer shanks had indented the 
hammer rail cloth to the point the actual hammer shank was hitting the bottom 
of the hammer rail thus a wood to wood sound.
