Oh, I don't know, David.... After doing a first pass, you'll almost =
always come across one or two notes which end up where they should be. =
It's just a "law of averages" kind of thing. Of course, I'll give it a =
good test blow to make sure that it will stay there, and if it does, =
then it's a "freebie". When I get done with the tuning, I always run my =
17ths and listen for any which may have dropped anyway.

pin, then a second attempt on that pin will be necessary even if it =
sounds
in tune. It seems like the first pass (unless it is a rough pitch
correction) is a waste of time if it doesn't attempt to achieve =
stability.
